Coastal Dublin Tour Details

Thanks so much for booking the Sea Tour. It really is the most beautiful walk in Dublin and a side of Dublin that really surprised people.

Meeting Point & Travel Details

Start: Dún Laoghaire DART Station
Finish: Killiney DART Station

We'll meet under the tree outside the main entrance of Dún Laoghaire DART station. I'll be wearing a green Patagonia rain coat so you can spot me easily.

Getting There

  • Take any southbound DART (doesn't matter if it's going to Bray or Greystones)
  • Buy a roundtrip ticket to Killiney, not Dún Laoghaire
  • Cost: About €5 (cash or card accepted). Buy at the train station.
  • At the end of the tour, we'll take the train back to the city together. I'll make sure you get off at the right stop in the city.

What to Expect

Distance: 7km
Duration: 3 hours
Difficulty: Not hard, but we do finish with an uphill section to Killiney (not steep)

We'll stop frequently for stories and photos. There are plenty of bathrooms along the way and we'll pass lots of coffee shops.

If 3 hours feels too long or you get tired, we have the option to stop in Dalkey and take the train home from there instead. The walk to Dalkey is completely flat and very easy.

What to Bring

This is Ireland - prepare for all weathers! Bring layers and a rain jacket just in case.
