Howth Tour Details
Thanks so much for booking the Cliffs Tour. It's a beautiful walk and hard to believe that you're in a capital city when you're on the cliffs.
Meeting Point
Meet: Howth Dart Station
I'll be wearing a green Patagonia coat so you can recognize me.
We'll meet at this bench outside the train station. It is next to the bus stop and directly across from the Howth Market.
Getting There
- Take a northbound Dart train to Howth. Don't get the northbound Dart to Malahide!
- Cost: About €5 (cash or card accepted). Buy at the train station.
- From the city, you can get on the train at any station. Connolly is very busy. I prefer Tara or Pearse stations. They're easier to navigate.
- You can also take a bus but the train is nicer and quicker.
What to Expect
Distance: 9km
Duration: 3 hours
Difficulty: Medium
It's not a difficult walk, but we're walking up and down a cliff path so you'll work up a good appetite for lunch after! We'll stop frequently for stories and photos. Take breaks whenever need. There are bathrooms along the way.

What to Bring
This is Ireland so prepare for all weathers! Bring layers and a rain jacket just in case. Wear good walking shoes if you have them. Sunscreen is a good idea too.
Bring water. There are plenty of shops in Howth.
After The Walk
We will end the tour back at the Howth Dart Station.
Many people have lunch at one of the restaurants in Howth after our walk and then take a boat tour to see the cliffs from the water.
Payment
- Cash on the day
- With Venmo
